Aleksandre Toreli, MD, FACC, is a board-certified interventional cardiologist at South Brooklyn Care. He provides complete cardiology care to adults living in and around the Brighton Beach neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York, and throughout New York City.
Dr. Toreli was born and raised in Europe. He earned his medical degree at David Tvildiani Medical University in Tbilisi, Georgia. After graduation, Dr. Toreli moved to Moscow, Russia, and completed a general surgery residency at the Moscow State University of Medicine and Dentistry.
In 2011, Dr. Toreli moved to the United States. He completed an internal medicine internship and residency at the State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn.
Before joining the team at South Brooklyn Care, Dr. Toreli completed two fellowships (also at SUNY Downstate Medical Center), one in the department of cardiovascular medicine and the other in the department of interventional cardiology.
Dr. Toreli is a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Cardiology, the American Society of Echocardiography, and the American Medical Association.
Dr. Toreli enjoys sharing his knowledge and expertise with others when he isn’t meeting with patients or in the surgical suite. He regularly speaks at medical conferences and loves educating and supervising cardiology residents and fellows.
